Hi, I'm Filippo Napolitano, a Game Designer with a technical background and a growing focus on Narrative Design, worldbuilding and interactive storytelling.
I started out as a programmer, but over time I became increasingly interested in the ideas behind games: how mechanics, characters, environments and stories can work together to create memorable experiences.
I have worked on indie projects, game jams and solo-developed experiences using Unity and Unreal Engine 5, taking part in different stages of production, from early concepts and documentation to prototyping and implementation.
Alongside game development, I work as a guide at Castello Dal Verme, a medieval castle in northern Italy. Being surrounded by real history, architecture, legends and historical characters has strongly influenced the way I think about storytelling and worldbuilding.
I am especially interested in historical and medieval settings, environmental storytelling, character-driven narratives and stories that players discover through exploration and interaction.
This portfolio collects some of the projects, worlds and ideas I have worked on so far.
Welcome to my work.
